The hygeeni bag is perfect for disposing of catheters and ostomy bags. Most suppliers give you a huge, obtrusive, bin bag for disposal. This is hard to hide when going to the loo at work. It’s actually quite embarrassing! By complete contrast the Hygeeni bag is the perfect size, seals shut, and portable so discretion is maintained. These are a great idea, and I was hoping they would be just the thing for a family member's colostomy bag. We already have black disposal bags and always use two, but they weren't stopping the odour entirely and, as we live in a flat, it isn't always convenient to use the outside bin straight away. They have certainly helped, but are sadly far from perfect. First, they are really too small. They could do to be substantially longer and wider as sometimes they are just too small to be practical The other issue is that the self adhesive seal is good, but doesn't give an airtight seal. The adhesive strip is just above the gap at the top, at each side seam, and therefore cannot seal entirely. It's such a pity because a decent product could be perfect, but falls short right now. The finger holes are a kind of odd feature and not one I find practical or useful, but don't cause any issues either. I will check back at some point and hope to see a bigger bag, and a truly airtight/odourproof seal.
